About Holding Space

Why is Holding Space Important?

Holding Space for teachers is a four week course that includes:

A Weekly Masterclass: In these pre-recorded videos sent weekly, we deep dive into each module with discussion, breakdowns of the practical tools, invitations to explore the energetic tools, journaling prompts, guided meditations, story telling, yoga philosophy and specific yogic teachings.

Optional Live Mentoring Calls With Leanne & Phoebe: Personalised mentoring in an open forum to go kick off and close the four weeks together. All call recordings will be sent to you afterwards, and calls are not mandatory. You are most welcome to work at your own pace through the material.

Call 1 - Sunday 21 March 10am AEST

Call 2 - Sunday 11 April 10am AEST

Movement, Breath and Meditation Teachers Practices: Our own practice is not only a source of nourishment and inspiration but a chance to investigate our own transformation. Use our teachers practices as preparation for your own teaching, class planning, or to self regulate when challenges arise.

Membership to A Private FaceBook Community of Teachers: This will be an active forum of like-minded teachers from different styles, with differing levels of experience. You’ll connect, collaborate, and find friends for life.

Weekly Worksheets: Much of the gold will unveil itself through this contemplative journaling. These worksheets are tailored to your module and are yours for life.

Tools For A Lifelong Career

Equip yourself with tools and techniques - both practical and energetic - you can come back to time and time again, long after the course ends. Set yourself up for a career that has legs.

Just like the technique behind yoga, learning to Hold Space is a practice.
In this course, we aim to make the intangible aspects of teaching, tangible - by contributing to our student's growth, bringing heart/emotions into teaching

The Modules:

Self - it begins with our self awareness and ability to start with ourselves. When there is recognition and compassion in Self first, we can offer it openly to our students.

Groups - classes, workshops and retreats are our most popular settings and can have great impact. Increase your awareness of group dynamics and create spaces that allow for all levels to experience the fullness of their practice.

Privates - the most traditional of teacher and student relationships, enhance your capacity to create safe and dynamic spaces that are free from unhealthy attachment with appropriate boundaries.

Online - the potential for powerful transmission is unlimited in this fast growing realm of teaching. Empower students to become more self reliant whilst allowing your intention and vision to still come across through your teaching.

How this course will expand your impact:

Teach classes that land, we want you to lead, rather than instruct. Learn how to weave your stories into your teaching.

Teach with purpose, by combining coaching tools with yoga theory, you’ll uncover and strengthen your truth and how you can use it in your teaching to offer emotionally intelligent classes.

Increase student retention, let’s drop the guilt about making money and open up to abundance. This work will help you to approach teaching with confidence, integrity, and a willingness to shine.

Feel empowered to design your dream gig, identify areas in your teaching where you are ready to expand and have the confidence to ask for what you want.

Create connections, through the inner work, become more deeply connected to your students and community. Teaching can be a lonely gig and this is about offering non-competitive support, regardless, of your experience and “style” of yoga.

Overcome setbacks, by learning skills to navigate fear, doubt and stagnation at any stage in your teaching career.

Trust your authentic voice.
